J’odie (born Joy Odiete Eseoghene) sprung to the limelight in 2007 when she contested in the Idols West Africa show. She grew up in Lagos, singing in church and school choirs, and since her stint on the musical talent show she’s been honing her musical talent. She’s performed at various events and has worked with Idols West Africa winner Timi Dakolo, as well as gifted producers Cobhams and TY Mix.
In December 2010 the artist and jeweler who’s inspiration comes from personal experience and the Bible, released the single Kuchi Kuchi [Oh Baby] the rhythmic Zouk track, to rave reviews. Today she releases the music video for the single, which was shot in Lagos and directed by Toka McBaror. Enjoy!
