Jonathan arrives Ghana for ECOWAS Summit (See Photos)

President Goodluck Jonathan has arrived in Accra, the capital of Ghana for the 45th Ordinary session of ECOWAS Summit of Heads of State and Government.

Jonathan was met by a high-powered delegation led by the Ghanaian Vice President, Amissah-Arthur.

In a release earlier made public by Reuben Abati, the president’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, participants in the summit will deliberate on the report of the 72nd Ordinary Session of the ECOWAS Council of Ministers.

According to the statement, the two-day summit will equally discuss the report of the 32nd Session of the regional body’s Mediation and Security Council.

The president is accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Aminu Wali; the Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, and the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Olusegun Aganga.

He is expected back to Nigeria at the end of the summit on Friday.
