There are only a few days to go to the first ever #Hashtag party, and we’re super-excited! Because #Hashtag is an entirely new concept, we’ll list ten things you must know about the party.

1. This is the first ever edition of #Hashtag – a night of music, fashion and networking – and it is known as ‘The Convergence’.

2. The quarterly #Hashtag  will be hosted by hot new online brand YNaija.com (sister brand to Y! – TV, Radio, Magazine) and music powerhouse Chocolate City and will hold at 6pm in Swe Bar, Onikan on Saturday, 23 July.

3. #Hashtag is aptly tagged ‘Pause. Tweet. Play.’ – the whole point of the party is to creatively mirror the exciting essence of the new social media age.

4. There will be a fashion show, brilliant comedy and other side attractions.

5. All the artistes under Chocolate City –MI, Jesse Jagz, IcePrince and Brymo – will be performing. Oleku!

6. #Hashtag will be hosted by Nigiezie’s Andre Blaze and the Beat FM’s delectable Oreka Godis. The eccentric Denrele Edun will be handling a special surprise segment as well.

7. The winner of the YNaija Twitter Personality series for each quarter will also be acknowledged at the party. Also, every quarter the winner of our fashion and music competitions – Cutting Edge and The NextBigThing – will showcase their talent.
