List of the Day: Download the top new songs from last week!

by Ore Fakorede

Today’s list is populated by the best new music from the last seven days – official singles from upcoming albums, studio leaks, previously unreleased audio material and a couple of extras. Hit the download links and create your very own Tuesday morning playlist.

1. Drake – Dreams Money Can Buy

‘Dreams Money Can Buy’ is the (unofficial?) first single from Canadian rapper Aubrey Drake Graham’s  “Take Care“, the follow-up album to last year‘s “Thank Me Later“. Explicit rap lyrics have never sounded this sweet. Download

2.  Jennifer Lopez – I’m Into You (Solo Version)

The original “I’m Into You” (from Latino sweetheart and American Idol judge J-Lo’s new album, “Love?”) features Young Money hip hop-head Lil Wayne. This version is for those who prefer their pop untainted by rap. Download

3. Kelly Rowland – Motivation (Featuring The-Dream & Lil Wayne)

Can a super-sexy R&B groove get any sexier? Apparently, yes, when love king The-Dream sings the first verse of the remix. With the seductive Ms. Rowland and Weezy along for the ride, this song needs no hype. Download

4. Beyoncé – Till The End Of Time

Coming on the heels of the dance-themed “Run The World (Girls)”, another single from Queen B’s upcoming album, “4” leaked onto the Web yesterday. On “Till The End Of Time”, Beyoncé makes a sharp turn away from dance to explore the hip hop genre. Perhaps this will fare better on the charts than its stalled predecessor. Download

5. Mike Posner – The Scientist (Coldplay Cover)

Coldplay’s piano ballad “The Scientist” was released to critical acclaim in 2003 as the second single off the British rock band’s sophomore album, “A Rush Of Blood To The Head”. Singer/songwriter Mike Posner’s cover of the song is a well-done electronic-hip hop hybrid that sounds more like a totally new song than a quick edit of the rock hit. Download Mike’s version and compare it with the original.
