Leading lights of Nigerian entrepreneurship and the public sector will converge at the Oriental Hotel in Lagos on October 6, 2016 for the inaugural Nigeria and Entrepreneurship Summit & Honours (NESH).
Grand Patron of NESH will be H.E. Prof. Yemi Osibanjo SAN, Vice-President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Chairman, National Economic Council, joined by a roster of other high-level speakers from the corporate, business and government worlds.
The theme of the Summit will be: “Celebrating Entrepreneurship.” “ Our goal for NESH is to establish it as the leading annual national platform that celebrates entrepreneurship and provides engagement between entrepreneurs, the larger organized private sector and the key economic, trade and public finance arms of Federal & State Governments Nigeria,” states the Founder, Mr. Emeka Ugwu-Oju.
NESH will be preceded by a special stand alone Summit & Honors packaged exclusively for Young Entrepreneurs named NESH-NXT, which will take place on October 5, 2016, a day before the main event.
Her Excellency, Mrs. Dolapo Osinbajo, Wife of the Vice President, Federal Republic of Nigeria will be the Special Guest of Honor at NESH-NXT. Some of the NESH-NXT attendees will also participate in the NESH to gain further insight and network with more experienced Entrepreneurs.
NESH will hold annually and will provide an avenue for thought leadership and engagement, knowledge exchange, networking, benchmarking and appreciation of the contribution of entrepreneurs to national development. NESH will offer not only a live hub but also build out an online platform for and about entrepreneurs, offering advice, case studies, news and analysis.
A key component of the NESH, is the NESH 100 which highlights the top 100 Nigerian entrepreneurs who have created significant impact and made a major difference in diverse sectors of the Nigerian economy such as Industry, Telecommunications, Agriculture, Information Technology, Oil & Gas etc. over the past 15 years.
The NESH 100 has been put together after deep analysis and consultation between the NESH Team and key partners such as the Enterprise Development Centre(EDC) of Pan Atlantic University and the Centre for Values in Leadership (CVL). The NESH 100 will be honoured at an exclusive Gala and Awards Night that will close the NESH.
The NESH Gala and Awards will also honour those State Governments that have made the most progress in providing an enabling environment for SMEs in their States.
