Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha has reacted to reports that he was ill and had to travel abroad for medical attention.
It was widely rumoured that the Governor was seriously ill while he was away from the country.
But Okorocha on Thursday said the rumours were false, stating that he was not in a hurry to die but complete his assignment to Imo people while addressing a crowd that had come to welcome him at the Sam Mbakwe Airport Owerri.
“I am not in a hurry to die; I will live to complete my assignment for Imo people. I went to the land of the dead and our ancestors turned me back saying it was not yet time,” he said.
The governor however, acknowledged that he had a challenge that took him far from the physical.
Okorocha said enemies of the state were those wishing him dead, adding that he is healthy.
