The Struggle

Picture this: a typical Danfo scene, the Conductor is shouting the name of the bus-stop and spraying saliva on the passengers as they enter the bus, using the same hand he has used to wipe his mouth and pick his nose to receive bus fares and give out change.

Then a passenger lets out a violent sneeze behind you before they could reach for a handkerchief or tissue paper.

Unknown to you some of the spittle from his sneeze has settled on the back of your neck. Someone tells you and you reflexively use your hand to wipe it off without thinking. It’s a long journey, along the way your bus hits some traffic and you become dehydrated.

You buy a bottle of coke and upon opening it, use your hand to wipe the mouth of the bottle. The bottle then moves to your mouth discharging its refreshing liquid.

Only when you have relaxed a little do you remember that the hand you used to clean off the spittle on the back of your neck and collect change from the conductor is the same hand you used to wipe the mouth of the coke bottle. You then reach for the hand sanitiser in your bag…….but is it too late?

Imagine this scene, Imagine yourself in this scenario, Imagine an Ebola ridden city, What would be your fate?

Leave nothing to chance, be part of the campaign to Stop Ebola, all you have to do is send Stop Ebola to 7979 on your MTN line.
