It all started with a smile for singer Jamelia as she spent a night out in London on Wednesday evening.

But the Thank You singer ended up looking a bit worse for wear once the free drinks kicked in while celebrating at fashion photographer Rankin’s Hunger magazine party.

The 32-year-old star certainly appeared to be enjoying herself as she let off some steam in the capital before narrowly avoiding an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction outside the event.

Arriving at the magazine bash at Apartment 58 on New Oxford Street, mother-of-two Jamelia looked radiant in a T-shirt and leather skirt.

She also sported some impressive spike-covered high heels which she refused to take off when she hit the dance floor.

But a near fashion disaster took place when she stepped out to catch some air with a friend and made an indiscreet adjustment to her undergarments.

With her skirt rising dangerously high as she made her adjustment, the See It In A Boy’s Eyes singer almost risked giving passers-by an eyeful.

She narrowly managed to maintain her dignity with a well-placed hand when a mischievous friend tried to lift her skirt further.

Despite arriving at the venue without a handbag, the singer miraculously managed to make a costume change during the evening, re-emerging later in a tight black dress.

Earlier in the night, Jamelia – who has is currently a judge on The Voice of Ireland – had attended an album playback of new up-and-coming music act, Angel.

She attended the playback with grime musician Wretch 32, who she also reportedly attended the Hunger party with.

The pair later left the event together.
