Popular Nollywood actor battles heart disease

Veteran actor Olumide Bakare, popular in the Yoruba category of movies is said to be battling a heart related  disease and is in dire need of financial help.

The Nollywood actor famous for his character, ‘Chief Koko’ in ‘Koko Close’, a popular Nigerian TV series of the 80s, has reportedly been in the hospital for a while due to the severity of his ailment.

Although he has now been discharged from the hospital, Bakare has reportedly not recovered and needs financial assistance to further treatment.

Speaking on his ailment, the actor said: “I’m weak; I cannot do anything for now. I’ve also not been able to work for a while now as a result of this illness, so I’m calling on well-meaning Nigerians for support.”
