Boko Haram, the Islamist sect that has unsettled the nation, has reportedly attacked a police station in the Sharada area of Kano today.
This attack has happened in spite of a curfew imposed about a month ago following deadly attacks. According to reports, residents confirm that a gunfight between the sect and police men continued till evening.
It will be recalled that security forces last week arrested the group’s spokesperson, Abdul Qaqa, only days after a reporter intra-sect rift killed many of the members.
We will continue to monitor developments.
Why do you keep using the pictures of Niger Delta Militants to tell Boko Haram stories? It's not journalistic integrity.
