British singer, Adele has confirmed she will be making her long awaited return to live performances at this month’s Grammy Awards coming up on the 12th. She will be gracing the stage for the first time since undergoing surgery on her vocal cords last November.

The six time nominee who won the best new artiste trophy in 2009 tweeted happily to her followers:  ‘’Ima be, Ima be singing at the Grammys. It’s been so long I started to forget I was a singer! I can’t wait, speak soon xx.’’

Since she’s been gone, her album ‘21’ has racked up U.S sales of over 6million copies and she scored a third consecutive number 1 single with the pop ballad, ‘Set fire to the rain.’ She is also expected to pick up some of the night’s biggest honors as she is nominated in the song, record and album of the year categories.

Adele joins an already crowded list of A-list performers that include fellow brits Coldplay and Sir Paul McCartney. Others include Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Bruno Mars, Nicki Minaj and Kelly Clarkson.

The 54th annual Grammy awards will be broadcast live from the Staple center and will be hosted by rapper LL Cool J.
