Show Some Love Christmas outreach

by Sola Fasasi

Show Some Love (SSL) is a community outreach and development project that is targeted at poverty alleviation and people empowerment within the Nigeria society.

In October 2010, floods destroyed the homes and property of several families in parts of Ikorodu town, Lagos State. The Agbowa Relief camp situated in Agbowa, Ikorodu provides shelter for over 1000 individuals who were displaced by the flood.

On the 18th December, 2010, Show Some Love embarked on a trip to the relief camp to visit with the people, hand out relief items, and celebrate the Christmas with them. “It was a beautiful time spent with the men, women and children in Agbowa, which left everyone filled with joy,” said Toyin Fajj, the coordinator of SSL.
