Yemi Pade (Pronounced ‘Paid’) is an upcoming singer/song writer who was born in Lagos, Nigeria but moved to Northampton at a young age. He plays a number of instruments and also works in production. He experiments with different genres of music, but focuses more on a mixture of RnB, Pop & Dance. Yemi Pade created a buzz in the Midlands which is making everyone look forward to him doing much bigger things with his music. He cites R Kelly, Craig David, Akon and Taio Cruz as some of his influences.
In the past Yemi has worked with some UK underground artists such as Creepa, Silvaa King, Marvylous, Teysean, and many others. One of the most popular collaborations was with Bilal on a track titled ‘You Belong to Me’ which got him his first radio and TV play. Since then, Yemi has released his 6 track EP titled ‘Victim of Love’ which was released for download this summer and has garnered some buzz – songs on the EP have already gained TV and radio plays, and Yemi has been introduced on BBC 1xtra as an upcoming artist to watch out for.
