StyleVibe: Elite Model Look Nigeria 2010

It was a fab night: the best of fashion, style glamour, as you could only expect from Elite, but what was going though the minds of the guests as they dressed up for the night?

Well, the invitation asked the guests to look “chic”, you know that sometimes sometimes confusing word (I mean, what is ‘chic’ exactly?). Well, at least the organizers gave a clue: from the calm classiness of the black carpet and back drop to the sublime draping of white chiffons and silk that fell from the towering roof and walls of the Federal Palace hotel event venue, yeah that would be chic.

Champagne flutes from Moet & Chandonn and party favuors from Montaigne & Black up Paris lent the ultimate air to the event. But! It was the guests who brought to the event a diverse, well thought out sense of style that sealed the deal: Ankara shifts with beaded embellishments, little black dresses, chiffon minis in varying colors, lycra tights, shoes and accessories in muted tones, trendy jackets and waist coasts and (oh well) the inevitable skinny jeans.

Of course, there was the overkill here and there, but not enough to mar the style quotient of this night (we think!). We weren’t disappointed: the vibe at this one was properly, er chic. Enjoy the pictures!
