A teenage boy in Niger has inflicted severe injury on a 12-year-old girl after he allegedly poured hot water on her.

14-year-old Ikechukwu Ibe is said to have attacked Fatima Ibrahim, his father’s tenant, at their home in Minna, the state capital.

The duo were said to have been involved in a minor argument which prompted the attack on Fatima.

It is not clear what the argument was about or why the suspect attacked as both the landlord’s family and that of the tenant were said to have lived in peace before that day.
