The Senate has for the second time rejected Ibrahim Magu as EFCC Chairman.
Just so we're clear, the DSS that keeps submitting damming reports on Magu to the Senate is an agency of the Presidency. Just like the EFCC.

You can't blame NASS for rejecting Magu based on DSS report. TWICE. Let the Presidency sort themselves out. This is highly untidy.
— Sam Hart (@hartng) March 15, 2017
It's either agencies of Presidency act autonomously without external influence or very high-stakes games are being played with Magu as pawn.
— Sam Hart (@hartng) March 15, 2017
Magu needs to release his own corruption dossier on DG DSS. On anything. Doesn't have to stick. Let's all be petty together. Kilode?
— Sam Hart (@hartng) March 15, 2017
DSS sending indicting corruption dossier on Magu to the Senate is telling the President, who is also their boss, that he made a mistake.
— Sam Hart (@hartng) March 15, 2017
Where is Ita Enang? In the light of the 1st DSS report, before resubmitting Magu's name, did you ask Presido to invite DG DSS & clarify?
— Sam Hart (@hartng) March 15, 2017
The Presidency sends names of Ministerial nominees to the DSS for screening before forwarding to Senate. Candidates with issues are dropped.
— Sam Hart (@hartng) March 15, 2017
Weren't folk at the Presidency privy to DSS report 1.0 and 2.0 on Magu? Why ridicule the institution of the Presidency like this by faffing?
— Sam Hart (@hartng) March 15, 2017
The very worse case scenario is that PMB himself doesn't want Magu but want the Senate to be the fall guys but I don't see him playing coy.
— Sam Hart (@hartng) March 15, 2017
His rejection is largely based on the DSS report. He failed their integrity test.

Magu vs Nigerian Senate, cabal vs cabal at work. High level politics right there.
