Why do you sing?
I am an extremely passionate person and when I sing that passion is expressed. Singing for me is more than just a job or a hobby, it’s an avenue for me to express the real me.
Tell us about your music.
My music is a smooth blend of R n B and soul music. On some of my tracks you will also find a hint of pop as well. I also infuse a little Yoruba and a pinch of Pidgin English to try to make my songs appealing to as many audiences as possible. If it’s smooth sexy ballads you want or dance club bangers delivered in a smooth classy manner then my style of music is right for you.
What are your influences?
I listen to all kinds of music; but quite a lot of both old school and new school Rn B and soul music. So naturally my music is influenced by some of my favourite artistes like Alexander Oneal, Marvin Gaye ,Teddy Pendegrass, El debarge Charlie Wilson, R Kelly Usher Raymond and Trey songs (one of my favourites) just to name a few.
What else do you do?
Right now, I am concentrating on my music full time; but sometime in the near future, I wouldn’t mind adding modelling and acting to my to-do list. I like a challenge and follow the modelling and movie industries with a keen eye. It is definitely something that I’ll probably get into later, but right now my primary focus is my music.
Your music – what have you been up to with it?
I am currently working on my debut album whose title will be provided later. I am really excited about this because I am looking forward to the world getting a feel of Le Soul. The album will include collabos from my fellow Guepard Records signees J2D a fantastic dancehall duo (watch out for them), and I am hoping to collabo with MI, Tu Face, and Eldee. My singles as we speak are hitting the airways titled Ma se Yen and Top of the line (certified) ft General Pype. There are plans by my record label Guepard Records for me to tour the country promoting the singles off my debut album, which I am also really looking forward to. Guepard records is also organising a listening party sometime in September for all signees; that will be my first full scale public performance, and plans are already in top gear to ensure that the event lives an indelible mark in the minds of the public.
Tell us about you.
Le Soul also known as Wole Fagbayi is a fun loving guy born in Lagos state.I am an Economics graduate of Babcock University. I love to travel, sing, swim, and most especially play basketball. Oh yeah I forgot: Le Soul has a wicked ‘sweet tooth’ so don’t leave your ‘cookies n cream’ ice cream around me (laughter).
Where do you see yourself in ten years?
Wow! Let me put it like this: with hard work and the Grace of God the sky is the beginning for Le Soul. I hope to be the reference point for everyone who has a passion and a dream to fulfil.
