TICKER: The wedding video that causes some outrage, but gets lots of love online (WATCH)

Robert Brown and Nathanael Gay wed in a beautiful ceremony at the Griffin Gate Marriott Resort in Lexington, Kentucky. The couple then put their video online as a way of sharing their special day with the world, and if they’d been straight, the reaction probably would’ve been on of, “ooohhh, how cute”, but since they’re a gay couple, the reaction was..well…. … mixed.

It didn’t take long for grifters and Bible thumpers in the comments section of YouTube to rack up comments like, “As a NUPE [Kappa] I feel embarrassed”,  but surprisingly, the YouTube comments were overwhelmingly positive. Here are a few:

I’m in awe. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! Congrats to you both. Wish you the best.

What an amazing affirmation of love. Certainly gives hope to all who watch that happiness and love comes in so many different forms. Your ceremony was so beautiful..

Yo Nupes, can’t really say I’m a supporter of gay marriage, but if you two are happy, that’s all that matters. What you do in your house has no effect on me. Kongrats!!! Phi Nu

I cried as soon as the music played. I wish you two the best of blessings that life can offer!

Those were just a few of the encouraging comments left in response to the YouTube wedding video.

And for the record, only one of the grooms is Greek.

Watch the full wedding video below and tell us what you think of the wedding. Do images like these in any way change your views on gay marriage?
