TICKER: US Secret Service involved in case of man who made effigy of hanging President Obama

A man in Southern California man is getting a visit from the Secret Service after hanging a Halloween decoration that some say was just disrespectful.  Eddie Million is admitting that it wasn’t such a good idea to hang an effigy of President Obama hanging from a noose in front his house.  He thought it was a good Halloween prank, but soon realized that the Secret Service doesn’t laugh very much.

“This is getting all blown out of proportion,” he said. “It’s down. It’s gone. We didn’t want to hurt the president.”

Million says that he wasn’t trying to be racist, and was instead putting up “something spooky.”  Yeah, right.

“We didn’t want to hurt the president,” said Million.

The Secret Service came into the fold after neighbors complained about the decoration.   Then, the media got involved, and finally, the local police.

“I started thinking how bad it looked, and I took it down immediately,” he said.
