A young woman who was trying to get into her boyfriend’s apartment in New York lost her life after falling.

29-year-old Hannah Shaw had tried to climb into the window of Alex Douglas’ home after they had an argument and he wouldn’t let her in through the door.

Unfortunately, Shaw, who was reportedly drinking before the incident, lost her footing and fell to her death.

Douglas, 42, saw her after she had fallen at about 5am but by the time she was taken to the hospital, it was too late.

He said:

“I climbed out there and held her while she was fading,”  “I’m exhausted. I can’t sleep. It’s been horrible.”

The couple, who had been together for a year and a half, got into a fight after Shaw told Douglas that she was going home after their night out but instead he saw her talking to another man after she left him.

The police have said that her death is still under investigation.
