Of course you know her. Mo’Cheddah, born Modupe Ola, is one of the favourite young artistes in Nigeria at the moment. She made her debut in the music industry about two years ago and since then, she has moved up the ladder very quickly. The singer and songwriter has bagged several awards to show for her talent and very recently, along with Kel, she was appointed an ambassador for the Soulmate range of hair products.
The final year student of Creative Arts, who is under the KnightHouse label, spared a few minutes to talk to us about Twitter.
How did you get on Twitter?
I got on Twitter through Temi Gomes of KnightHouse. He signed up for me.
Who would you say is your favourite ‘tweep’?
Hmm, it’s really hard to pick one person. Everyone has something about them I like. @RevRunWisdom is one of them though because he tweets inspiring stuff.
Is there any particular tweet you’ll never forget? Tell us about it.
It would have to be when Public Enemy member ChuckD tweeted at me! We actually performed together at the MAMAs and it was unforgettable.
Have you had any embarrassing/memorable experience on Twitter? If yes, what happened?
It’s just Twitter, so it’s okay to make mistakes.
What are the downsides of being on Twitter?
For me, it has no downsides.
What are the upsides?
I learn from what people tweet everyday (no knowledge is lost) and I am also able to communicate with my Fuujirians.
Has Twitter gotten you more fans/friends?
Yes, it has.
Many tweeps say you have an arrogant persona on Twitter. Is this true?
I am very sure they didn’t say that! I love my ‘tweeps’!
Describe your Twitter persona in three words.
It’s just me!
Do you follow back readily? Why?
Yes, I follow back for any of two reasons: First, if I love your sense of humour and level of intelligence and secondly, if you are my hardcore fan.
What would possibly make you close your Twitter account?
That’s if Twitter closes itself!
