The University of Lagos has been shut down by the school authorities following student protests over the payment of N20,000 levied on students over late editing or registration of course forms.

Several students gathered at the University Senate building singing in protest and demanding a stop to what they referred to as exploitation by the university authorities.

They blocked entrances to the school, preventing cars from going in and out of the campus.

Law enforcement agents are currently at the institution to prevent a breakdown of law and order.
