Bayelsa gubernatorial election results out of eight local governments have arrived the offices of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), according to the commission’s public relations officer, Timitei Wariowei.
Collation of the results will commence shortly as the commission will not wait until the submission of the remaining four.
The local governments whose results are about to be collated at the state INEC office shortly are Yenagoa, Ogbia, Kolokuma/okpokuma, and Sagbama.

Some results from various local government areas in the state are being collated at the bayelsa INEC office.
Five out of eight have been succesfully collated and three are being awaited to arrive the INEC office.
Results from Nembe, Kolokuma/Okpokuma, Ogbia, Yenagoa, and Sagbama local governments have been verified by a team of party agents, collation officers, electoral observers and officers, as well as some journalists.
As three local govt collation officers are being awaited to arrive the centre for the continuation of the process, a three hour break has been given. The process continues by 2pm when it is expected that the remaining results will be available.
