A voodoo priest has been accused of having sexual intercourse with an 11-year-old girl.

The priest, Brognet Cinor, was able to have his way after convincing the girl’s mother that it would cure her of bad spirits.

CBS Miami reports that Cinor allegedly abused the girl and had looked for more possible victims.

Police in Sunset, South Florida, said the girl’s mother took her to Cinor’s home five years ago, but the case has only just come to the fore.

“He was using the victim’s belief in voodoo and curses and the fact that they believe that they could die if they did not follow his instructions.”

The girl told her mother about the intercourse a few weeks later, and when the mum confronted the priest, he denied everything.

Cinor also threatened the mother that if she mentioned the allegations to anyone else, she would die.

It wasn’t until last year that the woman finally got the courage to report the matter to police.
