Bobrisky loses ₦1.2bn lawsuit against EFCC and the national assembly
A federal high court has ruled out a ₦1.2 billion lawsuit filed by Nigerian crossdresser and socialite Idris Okuneye (Bobrisky) against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the National Assembly.
Bobrisky had filed for ₦200 million damage from the EFCC for “psychotic damage” and ₦1 billion damage from the national assembly for violating her right to a fair hearing.
However, the judge who presided over Bobrisky’s lawsuit, Alexander Owoeye, stated that the evidence submitted by the Applicant (Bobrisky) was not credible enough to justify the award requested in the lawsuit.
