The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu has said the Presidential media team will base its information on President Muhammadu Buhari’s health from third party information.
Shehu said this while featuring on a programme, Sunrise Daily, on Channels Television on Tuesday.
He said this while responding to a question to the question if he would be joining Buhari in London in order to update Nigerians on the President’s health.
Shehu however said Buhari is entitled to his privacy, while stating that he would not join him in London.
He said the media team would rely on the information that would be made available by those with the President.
“No. I don’t think I will go. I hope the President has the privacy that he needs with his doctors and regains his health. We will continue to rely on third party from my own point of view,” he said.
Buhari had returned to London for medical consultation on Sunday after his medical leave few weeks ago.
He had left Nigeria on January 19 for a medical vacation and returned on March 10 after a prolonged stay.
