Assets of Dieziani’s associates to remain frozen – Court

The Federal High Court sitting in Lagos on Thursday said the assets and funds of businessmen Kola Aluko and Jide Omokore, who are linked to former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Dieziani Alison-Madueke will remain frozen.

The Federal Government had sued companies belonging to both men over an alleged $1.8bn.

The lawsuit has the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Nigerian Petroleum Development Company (NPDC) and the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) as the plaintiffs while the companies Atlantic Energy Drilling Concepts Nigeria Limited and Atlantic Energy Brass Development Limited are defendants.

The judge dismissed the application of the defendants seeking for the unfreezing of the accounts until the final determination of the substantive suit.
