Majmua Theatre brings Band Aid, the Christmas edition to the Muson [DETAILS]

by Akan Ido

In May 2014, many Lagos residents had a chance to revel in the world of theatre once again, as Band Aid, a play written and directed by Abiodun Kassim took the centre stage in the Centre of Excellence.

This December due to popular demand, Iye Arts Foundation and Majmua Theatre presents to you “Band Aid” the Christmas edition.

Date: December, Friday December 12th, 2014
Venue: Muson Centre.
Time: 1PM, 4PM and 7PM
Tickets: 3500 Regular, 6000 VIP
Written & Directed by Abiodun Kassim
Music Directed by Femi Leye

The play, which centres around three friends with distinct personality disorders but who seem clearly united by their love for music, is an exciting play with gripping themes.

For the three young men, the loyalty of one is soon questioned by the two others when a twist in the tale sees them falling in love with the same girl.

While they think she has come to save them from themselves, she takes them on as a project to fill a void in her life and what happens when her demons emerge from the past she is trying to escape from is a play that would keep any class or size of audience spell bound for its duration.

That is the conundrum at the heart of this funny, reflective and exhilarating Band Aid this time with a “Christmasy” twist.

Starring veteran stage actor, Toyin Oshinaike, as well as rising but commendable actors like Patrick Diabuah, Tuke Morgan, Adesua Etomi, Tosin Oluwadare, Demi Olubanwo, Tosin Gregory, Ranti Ihimoyan, John Paul Ochei.

Ticket for the play are available at Muson Centre, Jazz Hole, Orpheus Music Shop.
