The wife of the President Mrs Aisha Buhari is at the moment having a chat with the ladies of TVC’s Your View – Morayo, Uwa, Tope, Jumoke and Nimah. They had to move the set to Abuja, it appears but all the same it’s a commendable feat, especially for the show.
It’s still a little too early in the programme to tell what how this interview will go -whether they’ll ask her about #TheOtherRoom or stick with more topical issues and pet projects. But one thing is already clear, 5 minutes in: The wife of the President is not deluded as to where she stands with people.
Asked how she intends to make sure her Future Assured project outlives her husband’s tenure at the Aso Villa (and her reign as WOTPON), Mrs Buhari answer might shock you.
She says she knows that there’s no constitutional guarantee for the continued existence of any project. But she also knows that right now, she can get access to almost anything she wants by a single phone call. And she’s taking advantage of that.
