10 outstanding UTME 2015 candidates to be awarded at Pass Excellence Awards

On Friday the 4th of December, 2015, PASS.NG, the leading e-testing platform for major exams in Nigeria will reward 10 Students who achieved academic excellence in the JAMB – conducted UTME exams of 2015.

The Pass Excellence Awards aims to celebrate exemplary students who have performed excellently across major examinations in the country.

This year, the company is focusing on rewarding students who performed well in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination with help from our platforms. It was chosen because this is a flagship exam and one of the major examinations required to pursue tertiary education.

This is the maiden edition of the awards and would take place at Sofitel hotel, The MoorHouse, Ikoyi Lagos State. Pass.ng is partnering with great brands that cut across different sectors to accomplish this cause such as Airtel Nigeria (Main Sponsors), Red Media Africa (Owners of Ynaija.com – an online news platform targeted to young Nigerians), WeChat Nigeria, UR4Africa, Lenovo and Intel  to mention a few.

Yearly, awardees are Identified and rewarded based on how they have successfully excelled in their various pre-tertiary academic causes and we believe that this would encourage students to be committed towards hard work and diligence, especially in the pursuit of their careers.

Speaking on the awards, the Chief Executive Officer, Pass.ng, Mr. Samson Abioye said the aim of the award is to underscore the importance of excellence in education to national development.

He said, “The excellence awards is geared towards rewarding our users who not only made us proud but did excellently well in this year’s UTME JAMB. This year, about 1.5 million students wrote UTME and a 100,000 of them used our platform to prepare for the exam. We are glad to say that over 60 per cent scored 200 and above. This is a remarkable achievement. We hope to increase this figure yearly.

This year, each awardee would be rewarded with exciting prizes such as Laptops etc while the top two (2) students would be given Scholarships

Speaking to some parents of the awardees, they are excited PassNG  is rewarding academic excellence and proud to have their children  in it.
