3 App types that increase your productivity

Really, a smartphone should make you smarter. The truth about this cannot be overemphasized. One of the major impacts of technology on today’s world is “Increased Productivity”. The problem is that many are not smart enough to take advantage of the tools at our disposal to become more productive. Today, I want to give a brief run-down of some of the tools you can employ to make you more productive in your daily activities.

  • Note taking Tools: These are software/applications that allow you take or make notes. If you are the type that like jotting things down, you’ll find these tools handy; whether on your PC or on your smartphone. It has been said that successful people are often detailed people. If you forget things often, it’s mostly because you don’t write things down. An example of a note taking tool is Evernote. Evernote is available on PC and also on all the smartphones today’s world boasts of.
  • Personal Schedule Managers: These tools are used to plan your day, week, month or year ahead just as the name implies. It is very essential that you have a plan of how you are going to live at every point in time. Which meetings do you want to attend? Where do you want to be and at what time exactly? Most Schedule Managers are usually pre-installed with a To-do manager.  A To-do Manager allows you input your daily plan and it then alerts you at a pre-set time before the exact time of execution. Take for instance, if you have a meeting by 12 Noon, you can instruct your To-do Manager to alert you at 11:30am just to get you prepared for the meeting. There are numerous Personal Schedule Managers in the techno-space. You can Google one that’s compatible with your phone/OS.
  • Reminders: As the name suggests, reminders are simply applications that remind you of things. I am yet to see a human being who can boast of his ability to remember everything at all times. Reminders are supposed to stand in the gap for us.There are many other productivity apps you can install on your mobile device to make you smarter depending on the type of person you are. Like I fondly say, some things are just not pardonable in the 21st century. Get these tools on your mobile device and get your productivity increased. I will be reviewing a couple of them in the coming weeks, so stay connected.
