4 gunmen, including a woman, killed during JTF attack on hideout

The Joint Military Force, JTF and police team has confirmed the killing of four gunmen, including a woman on Wednesday in Sokoto State after a raid at their hideout.

Commander, 1 Brigade, Nigerian Army, Sokoto, Brig.-Gen. Mohammed Tasi’u, added that others were arrested after an operation on Line A, Alu Estate in Bado.

According to reports, security agents discovered arms and ammunition, cash, 10 handsets, a laptop computer and two vehicles, among items recovered from the scene.

The building was then demolished.

Commissioner of Police in the state, Shua’ibu Gambo,  said the raid followed a tip-off resulting toa gunfight at about midnight to 9am.
