There are indications that President Goodluck Jonathan will likely pick up his nomination form at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Secretariat in Abuja on Wednesday.
Jonathan who, days ago, made public his intentions to run for re-election in the 2015 elections, has reportedly, through his team, sent words to all members of the National Working Committee (NWC) to be present on that day.
The exercise to select a candidate from the ruling party is considered a formality as the president enjoys the support of all key party members who have endorsed him as the sole candidate.
The President is expected to be accompanied to the PDP Secretariat by several governors, key decisions makers and a throng of party supporters.
If all goes as planned, President Jonathan will battle it out at the polls against a yet unknown All Progressives Congress (APC) contender in February 2015. Notable among the group of APC aspirants angling to secure the APC tickets are the former Head of State, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari; former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar; Kano Governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso; Leadership Newspapers Publisher, Sam Nda-Isaiah and others.
