Hundreds of students and parents escaped death by the skin of their teeth this morning in Jos as the police Bomb Disposal Unit defused a bomb planted near Tin City Primary School in Jos.
The device, weighed about one kilogram, was 22 cm long and cylindrical in shape. It was said to have been lit but the spark went out before detonating.
Students of the school have since been dispersed.
The Police Public Relations Officer for Plateaun State, Abu Emmanuel, confirmed the report.
