Brown Ideye has taken to Twitter to refute speculations, that he was on the brink of leaving West Brom on transfer deadline day.
The Nigerian striker has failed to impress, since he arrived at The Hawthorns for a club-record fee believed to be around €13 million from Dynamo Kiev.
Ideye has scored only one in the league in 13 appearances and some reports claimed he was set to leave the Baggies for Al Gharafat in Qatar in a cut-price deal. But he has now come out to rubbish those stories.
“I’m still a West Bromwich Albion player, don’t know where that news about me leaving #wba came from,” he tweeted on Tuesday.
“Have not started doing what I know how to do best, so I can (sic) just leave #wba like that #biglovetoallthefans #lovewba.”
