Before the birth of Prince Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, the new Ooni of Ife, it was predicted that he was destined for greatness.
His father, Prince Oluropo Ogunwusi, made the disclosure on Monday, while speaking to journalists about his son’s appointment.
Prince Oluropo said the new Ooni of Ife had a habit of being successful in all his endeavours, owing to his Midas touch.
He said: “He is now my father. His appointment as the Ooni of Ife is the Lord’s doing and it is marvellous in our sight.
“Before the birth of this our father, we were told by a man of God that he would be great and would be blessed with rare gifts. He has been showing this ever since he was a child. He has a Midas’ touch; he has been successful in business and in family matters.
“He is blessed with a rare gift, which shows in all his endeavors. He is a wonderful giver. He had been a giver long before the stool of Ooni became vacant. I thank the kingmakers, the people of Ife and our amiable governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.”
“To all the aspirants to the throne – about 42 of them, I want them to know that in a contest like this, only one person will win. It is God who enthrones a king, they should rally round him to further develop Ife.”
