Peridot and Cinema Kpatakpata had the Norwegian screening of their uplifting film, The Lost Café, in Drammen, Norway on the 1st of September, 2017.

The film producers had in attendance the Ambassador of Norway to Nigeria, Jens-Petter Kjemprud, the Mayor of the port and river city of Drammen, Mr Tore Opdal Hansen and the Director of the Norwegian Film Institute (the film funding agency of Norway).

The Royal Norwegian Embassy in Nigeria is planning a screening for a select audience and the diplomatic community on 1st of October 2017.

The Lost Cafe is an uplifting story about a girl’s decision to rise above dark family secrets and culture shock to live her dreams abroad, finding the most unusual answers to her troubling questions somewhere in Drammen where she meets the half blind, strange owner of a quaint coffee shop that serves the best coffee in the world.



The Lost Cafe had support from Angenieux in France, Catapult Film in Norway and Project Act Nollywood in Nigeria.

The film was directed by Kenneth Gyang and produced by Regina Udalor for Peridot and Cinema Kpatakpata. It stars Tunde Aladese, Belinda Effah and Ann Njemanze in Nigeria and Terje Lien, Jenny Bonden and Anders Lidin Hansen in Norway.
