Oluwafisayo ISA, popularly known as Darkoo, is a 24-year-old Nigerian rapper and singer. She first came to prominence in the UK music scene in 2019 with her single “Gangsta”, featuring One Acen, which peaked at number 22 on the Official Singles Chart and at number one on the UK Afrobeats Chart in 2020.
She followed up this success in March 2020 with the single “Juicy” featuring Hardy Caprio, which peaked at 62 on the Official Singles Chart. In 2020, Darkoo received nominations for Best Female Act and Best Newcomer, whilst “Gangsta” was nominated for Song of the Year. In 2022, Oluwafisayo was nominated for the Best Diaspora Afrobeats Artist of the Year at The Headies Awards, and in 2023, she made it to Pandora Music Italy’s list of most streamed musicians.
Darkoo has worked with Afrobeats artists like BNXN, Davido, and Mayorkun and in 2025 she participated in the Darkoo soundtrack for “F1, The Movie” with a single titled “Give Me Love.” She has gained prominence and popularity on TikTok over the years for her catchy tracks and is a fan-favourite Afrobeats artist this decade.
