Tram, Ricky And Temi Nkem Fake-Evicted From BBNaija 2026
As the 11th season of Big Brother Naija draws closer to an end, the organizers added in a twist that happened on what was supposed to be eviction night.
Three out of the ten remaining contestants in the Big Brother Naija house were sent packing, and eventually revealed to have been fake evicted. The fake eviction bit came in two separate weeks, starting with Barry, the season’s ‘ultimate veto power holder’ and first confirmed finalist, to pick an envelope, in which he was asked to pick between granting immunity to all the remaining housemates or to no one at all.
His decision ultimately came to fruition in this eviction night as all ten housemates will be making it to the finale, the twist however is that none of the housemates are aware of the decision. The three evicted housemates have been kept in a secret room by Big Brother and there are currently 7 housemates in the “Show Ya Sef” house.
Madonna Takes Homes 7 Wins At VMAS, Sets New Record
The 2026 Video music awards happened on Sunday, the 28th of September and ended with Madonna taking home the most wins of any artist.
Winning one of the biggest awards of the night, “Artist of the Year,” Madonna also took home the win for “Best Dance,” “Best Collaboration of the Year” for her song with Sabrina Carpenter, This was the sixth all-female collaboration to win in the category.
She also took home the win for “Best Long Form Video,” “Best Album,” “Best Cinematography,” and “Best Choreography,” the last four being for “Confessions II,” all of which brings her total VMAs wins to 27. Following as the runner ups were South Korean boyband, BTS, who won three awards at the 2026 VMAs.
Avengers: Endgame Encore Makes Debut At Box Office Number 1
The re-release of Disney and Marvel’s 7-year old film, “Avengers: Endgame” has emerged victorious at the domestic box office with $26 million surpassing A24’s “Primetime” at $19.2 million. The re-release heralds the much anticipated Marvel film, “Doomsday” and has grossed $86 million globally, which is reportedly a significant number for a re-run of a film that was released in 2019.
The film currently has no fixed end date for its re-run and is expected to continue screening depending on the individual theater chains and local box office demand.
Funke Akindele Quells Rumors of Rift Between Herself and Kamo State
Nollywood filmmaker and actress Funke Akindele has put rumors of a dispute between her and Kamo State (Kayode Kasum” to rest after she shared support for his debut cinema film ‘Starlomo’ on X (formerly Twitter).
The rumors began due to the filmmaker’s absence from the film premiere, which was dismissed by Kayode himself, who took to social media to clarify that the actress was out of the country at the time. Over the weekend, Funke Akindele took to X to congratulate Kamo State on his new film and also urged her fans to show support for him and his film by going to watch the film.
In return, Kamo State also responded to the post and thanked the filmmaker, who is known as his mentor in the industry for her support.
Six Abducted Along Kwara-Kogi Border, Joint Operations Launched For Their Rescue
A couple and four other individuals who were on their way back from an engagement ceremony have been abducted along the Kwara-Kogi border.
The abducted persons were reportedly travelling in a vehicle that was expected to use the Isanlu Road when the driver took a back route to drop off the best man and other members of the group in Iyamoye, Kogi State, and was inadvertently intercepted by bandits along the Iyemero-Eruku Road, and taken away.
Although the whereabouts of the victims remain unknown, the Kwara State Commissioner of Police, Adekimi Ojo, confirmed that security agencies in Kwara, Kogi and Ekiti state have launched a joint operation to rescue the six abducted victims.
