A lady in waiting: Rising starlet Uru Eke

by Bola Aduwo

Passionate, vivacious, funny, fierce. Those are the words that come to mind when you meet Uru Eke.  An actress of great depth and much promise, Uru burst unto the scene in 2007 when she acted in the movie, Widow’s Men.  Since then she has been building her portfolio, acting in other movies like Ebony, African Soldier, The Gift, Return of Ogidi, Forgive me Father, Timeless Passion and several others.

She delivers a stunning performance in the soon to be released soap, Catwalq where she stars as the lil’ spitfire, Simi Prescott; a role she relishes and had fun acting. Yes! This diva pulls no punches! She’s definitely one of the actresses to look out for in 2011. Watch out for an in-depth, up-coming interview with her but for now, be satisfied with feasting your eyes on the delectable thespian!
