Abia state governor, Theodore Orji, has besieged the office of the Resident Electoral Officer in Umuahia to demand that the cancellation of elections in 3 local government areas, be rescinded.
According to a YNaija source on ground in the state capital, Orji is putting the REC under pressure by insisting that she reverts her decision to cancel the election in the LGAs.
The Governor in company of the Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe led protests by PDP supporters when results from some Local Governments were cancelled due to widespread irregularities and violence.
The affected LGAs are; Osisioma Ngwa, Obingwa, Ugwunagbo and Isiala Ngwa North.
As at the time of filing this report, the governor and his supporters are still present at the INEC office in UCDA road, opposite Abia state secretariat.
