Album of the Year? Tony One Week is back to take over… or not

Remember Tony One Week?

He calls himself Gyration Master and the name has stuck since he released the early 2000s track, Gyrate. At the time, the song was a success mainly because we did not have too many options. Now that the industry has evolved, you’d expect that Tony One Week would have lost all relevance. But no!

Tony Muonagor has stuck through the times, however tough they may have been musically. He’s tried his hands and successfully so, on politics. Representing Idemili North Constituency at the Anambra State House of Assembly, Tony One Week was a one-term lawmaker and a Minority Leader in the House. He was initially a member of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) but defected to the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) where he secured a ticket to run in 2011.

Fast forward to present day, Tony One Week is set to release an album and we’re kinda excited. Before you judge us for getting overjoyed unnecessarily since no one cares about his music or even his career, we’re glad to announce to you that Tony One Week is the star of Eastern Nigeria.

Well, this explains why the album launch will he holding in Owerri. It’s not for the refined Lagos crowd and Tony gets it. The album is titled “Anoda Jolly” and it is sure to explode in Igbo land and there alone.

But we appreciate Tony One Week’s guts! If you’re in Owerri this weekend, be sure to go out and support the veteran. See invite below.

See you there… or not.
