Amplified! The Daily BBA Report (Day 44)

by Wilfred Okiche

Housemates were up early and took part in the morning exercise, after which both heads of house read out the task briefs. The week’s task, titled “Shock and horror”, would involve housemates’ combating their inner fears. Headsmates went all the way and wagered 100% while the Tails’ held back some with a 75% wager. They were excited and expectant but did not bargain for a messy pie-in-the-face question and answer session that involved standing on a podium and answering questions thrown to them by Big Brother after getting their faces splattered with pie. The mate that answered the most questions would get a special prize.

In commemoration of World Blood Donor day, the housemates received a visit from the South African National Blood Services (SANBS) and were made ambassadors for blood donation. Kim revealed she had been accepted to study in a Kenyan University and was seriously contemplating the offer, though not necessarily because of Nic who happens to hail from Kenya. Weza confided in Big Bother that there was actually no battle of the sexes as whoever won was fine by her.

They gathered at night around a fireplace to each tell a horror story – and most of them told true life stories that had terrified them at some point. Miss P, in particular, broke down and had to be consoled as she told the story of a close shave with sexual assault. They then moved into the kitchen for dinner where Bernadina picked holes in both Karen and Luclay’s stories.
