A bulldozer operator for Setraco Construction Company, Mr. Samuel Onuabuchi, was recently stung to death by a swarm of bees while trying to remove trees and debris on the Ogboin-Ama and Akugbene Community Road, Delta State.

Onuabuchi, 44, from Anambra State, could not be rescued from the wrath of the agitated bees by his colleagues working on the site with him for fear of being attacked also.

After the incident, the father of four was quickly rushed to Bomadi General Hospital, Delta State, where he was confirmed dead by doctors.

According to the Vanguard Newspapers, one of the management staff who spoke to journalists described the death as shocking and painful saying the company would miss him.

The Ogboin-Ama and Akugbene Community Road where Onuabuchi died was contracted to Setraco Construction Company for repairs.

According to experts, bees are generally non-aggressive but they usually sting if they are provoked or feel threatened.
