Arab nations ask Qatar to shut down Al-Jazeera, list 10 demands

Four Arab States have reportedly handed Qatar a list of 13 demands, including shutting down the Al Jazeera media network.

According to Reuters, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt had sent Qatar the list and had given the country 10 days to comply with the demands.

The demands included shutting down the Al Jazeera media network and its affiliates, halting the development of a Turkish military base in the country, reducing diplomatic ties with Iran, and stopping interference in the four countries’ affairs.

The four countries say that the list will become void if Qatar fails to comply in the 10-day period.

The Arab nations cut ties with Qatar on June 5, accusing it of supporting terrorism and destabilizing the region.
