AUN holds Fall Matriculation today!

The President of the American University of Nigeria, Dr. Margee Ensign will be hosting the second matriculation ceremony in the school since assumption into office last fall 2010 when she inaugurated the freshman class of 2014.

Venue of the event has been transformed in preparation for the matriculation ceremony which is the new tradition of welcoming Fresh students to AUN.

The freshman Class of 2015, which had begun orientation on Sunday August 14th will tomorrow August17th 2011 at the ABTI Community Hall formally mark their entry to the student body of AUN.

The matriculation is expected to attract a cross section of the AUN community, including trustees, faculty, staff, returning students, and parents of freshmen who would witness and celebrate with their wards as they took the new AUN Vow. Among the distinguished dignitaries is the Ambassador of the United States to Nigeria, Terrence P. McCulley
The AUN community will on the same day witness the flag off the academic session. In a ceremony which will include a speech by Mr. Terence P. McCulley, Ambassador of the United States on American education – source of his country’s pride.

The American Ambassador will also use kick-off the Diplomats Lecture Series, another public-service initiative of the AUN President, Dr. Margee Ensign.

AUN orientation for first-year students and their parents is a weeklong event culminating in the matriculation that formally initiates students into Campus life.
