Based on logistics, Efe will win the #BBNaija reality TV show

by Tolu Omoyeni

Judging by what we’ve seen on the internet since the voting lines opened this final week, the winner seems clear-cut: Efe Michael Ejeba will go home with the N25million cash prize.

How do we know?

Efe gained massive following from the very first week of the show. Pidgin-speaking, down to earth, relatable and of course, “real”! He started off playing the Warri boy card then later pulled out the poverty card and it’s worked like magic. He personified the typical Naija hustler story and majority of viewers tagged along with him without questioning the strategy.

In no time, he began to get celebrity endorsements. AliBaba, Comedian AY, Basketmouth, Mr Eazi, I Go Dye, Annie Idibia and Cool FM OAP Do2tun are on the long list of A-list celebrities rooting for Efe. His mantra “Based on Logistics”,  which was literally the first thing he said when he walked into the house, caught fire. We’re not sure Wizkid is a fan but he tweeted this about a day ago and #TeamEfe was quick to own it.

Take one of the many Twitter polls that are all over the internet today for example:

With all that we’ve said, you’d think Efe has a lot going on for him in the house. Well, no! He got along very well with most of the guys, was quick to peg Marvis as a love interest, completely adores Bisola because she’s just as “real” as him, claims to be a rapper but frankly can’t rap shit, won the PayPorte Arena games twice and was first to be crowned Head of House.

He’s not the most fun to watch, goes on too many pointless rants, once said he would want his clique to be in the finals (like it’s his finals, like he calls the shots) but Efe despite his many shortcomings has appealed to more Nigerians than any other Big Brother housemate has in the history of the show.

Efe’s emotional moments – the time he wept when his brother visited, the time he got drunk and became double-minded, his “Efe na you, Efe na me, Efe na everybody” campaign that got everyone teary-eyed, the times he’s recounted his life struggles – are the collective force that have kept him on the show and will see him to the coveted throne on Sunday.

We cannot confidently tell whose favour the remaining votes will swing but we think Debie-Rise will take second place, followed by TBoss, then Bisola and Marvis will hold the fifth spot.

No one really cares who takes second or third place, so we’ll be the first to break the news when Captain Nipples is named winner, based on logistics.
