“Boss Of All Bosses” explores Naija’s corporate world with this new, funny trailer

Boss of all bosses

In another edition of Nollywood copies Hollywood, I present to you the trailer of Ike Nnaebue’s upcoming comedy Boss Of All Bosses. The 2-minute-plus trailer is corporate satire meets absurdist hilarity, and has similar thematic beats with Seth Gordon’s 2011 black comedy Horrible Bosses. What more can I say? Nollywood is running out of ideas but let’s not panic yet.

Per the plot synopsis, Boss Of All Bosses follows Tony as the obnoxious Managing Director of Hemcorp. With his unsatisfactory performance in the company, his CEO employs Samuel as the second second MD. The two are then given one ultimatum: “whoever brings in a top client within six months gets to become the sole Managing Director.”

In the age of the #MeToo conversation, I’m thinking this could be a perfect opportunity for the film to tackle workplace sexual harassment without losing its comic flair. Boss Of All Bosses stars Chinedu Emmanuel, Akpororo, Ime Bishop, Patience Ozokwo, Adunni Ade, Eniola Badmus and more.

Ike Nnaebue is a filmmaker known for films like Sink or Swim, Dr. Mekam, LoveLorn, and Circle of Trust. His 2014 film False was nominated in 3 categories at the Nollywood Movie Awards for the Best Screenplay, Best Editing, and Best Director. Produced by Mindbursters Film Ventures, Boss Of All Bosses will premiere in cinemas June 15. Watch the trailer below.
