A man was reportedly beheaded with a machete on Wednesday afternoon in Woolwich, South London by two men.

Both attackers were said to have been shot fatally by a female police officer.

According to an unconfirmed report, “Two black men in a blue Vauxhall car rammed into the soldier on John Wilson Street, then jumped out of their car and started attacking him with meat cleavers.

“After the attack, the men then waited for about 20 minutes for police to show up and then tried to attack the officers. They were shot dead by a female officer.”

Other reports, however, say the two attackers have been taken to hospital, one in a serious condition, The London Ambulance service confirmed.
