The Supreme Court has affirmed the election of Kogi state governor, Yahaya Bello.
In a unanimous decision the justices of the Apex court dismissed the appeals file by Idris Wada of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and Honourable James Faleke of the All Progressives Congress (APC)
Faleke was the running mate to late Prince Abubakar Audu, the APC candidate in the election.
Governor Yahaya Bello was chosen to fly the APC ticket after the demise of Audu who won the election but passed on before he was declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), a situation Faleke frowned about.
Faleke and Wada had both lost in the Court of Appeal by four-to-one.
The Supreme Court said it would make public the reasons for its decisions on September 30, 2016.
